Quality Tourism Mark

The Vars Tourist Office holds the Qualité Tourisme mark (renewed in September 2019). Created by the French government, this mark aims to improve the quality of tourist services in France.

This mark selects and federates under a single symbol the quality initiatives undertaken for your satisfaction in hotels, tourist residences, vacation villages, campsites, restaurants, cafés and brasseries, seasonal rental agencies, tourist offices, places to visit and outdoor activities.

Within this framework, the Vars Tourist Office undertakes to :

To provide you with an easily accessible reception and information area, with furniture to sit on and free Wi-Fi access.

To welcome you 305 days a year, with a professional team who care about your well-being in Vars, and who will make it easy for you to find what you’re looking for and provide you with clear, precise information on the local tourist offer, free of charge. Our reception staff speak at least two foreign languages.

Guarantee the reliability and timeliness of information and present the full range of qualified services available in the area for all customers. Provide tourist maps, plans and guides on paper in two foreign languages.

Display and publicize its opening times in at least two foreign languages, and display emergency numbers on the outside.

Give you access to its dedicated trilingual website.

Respond to your letters all year round, handle your complaints and measure your satisfaction.

Comply with the requirements of the Quality Tourism mark and our Category I classification.

Our sustainable commitments

We limit our in-house printing and print our editions on FSC PEFC-certified recycled paper.

We pay attention to our energy and water consumption (switching off our appliances at the end of the day, rational internal printing, etc.).

We print our editions on FSC PEFC-certified recycled paper and manage our brochure stocks to limit waste at the end of the season.

We sort and recycle our waste and sort our emails.

We use non-disposable or recyclable tableware at our events (Eco cups, wooden cutlery, etc.).

Continue to sort your garbage during your stay: you can find the Guide du Tri at the Tourist Office or download it from Smitomga, as well as reusable bags.

Remember to moderate your energy and water consumption at your vacation destination.

You can deposit your used batteries in our battery collector at the Tourist Office reception desk.

Make sure that the places you visit are clean, and respect the fauna and flora during your hikes and nature activities by collecting your garbage.

By adhering to this charter, you will benefit from a personalized poster for your establishment, available in paper and digital versions.
