Each week of the February vacations has its own theme. From February 15 to 21, 2025, Vars will be immersed in the retro atmosphere of the 90s and vintage, with a wide range of activities including creative workshops, sports activities and social events. On Thursday February 20, relive the magic of the 90s at a concert dedicated to the greatest hits of that unforgettable era.

Welcome drink

8:45 am – Vars les Claux snow front

To kick off this week’s festivities on the theme of Vintage and 90’s, we welcome you with a welcome drink. It’s also an opportunity to introduce you to the resort’s activities and events, and to share a moment of conviviality.

Gym tonic: Véronique and Davina

10am – Vars les Claux snow front

In a retro and overdone atmosphere, take part in a dynamic and rhythmic session with our varsinques Véronique and Davina.

Loto des associations

20h- Salle Chastan

A convivial evening organized by the associations Vars au fil du Temps and Vars Passion. Lots of prizes to be won! Registration required with the associations, information to come very soon.

Discover local flavors and stock up on regional produce at our weekly market.

Créa’telier Vintage: back to the 90s

10am – Espace animations Front de neige de Vars les Claux

Scoobidoo, spirograph and modeling clay will be on hand for this nostalgic crea’telier.

Dorlotte time

4.30pm – Point Show snow front

A moment of surprise with Dorlotte: blind test, obstacle course, dance and much more await you.

Nocturne at the Ecrins ski lift

5pm – 7pm – Point Show

Fancy some night skiing? Every Tuesday during the school vacations, the Ecrins ski lift will be on overtime. The International Ski School will also be on hand with its torchlit descent.

Tuesday family show: Contre kems

6pm – Espace animations Front de Neige de Vars les Claux

Contre Kems is a playful improvisational theater show in the form of a competitive game, in which the actors improvise a story lasting around 1 hour, interspersed with challenges… Show for all audiences, ages 3 and up. Limited seating. Priority to children over 3 accompanied by an adult.

First track

8:40 am – Meeting point at Télémix de Chabrières

Our passionate ski patrollers invite you to share in the opening of the pistes with them: first tracks, safety, prevention… Places are limited, so bookings must be made at the Tourist Office. No reservations by phone. Level required: 3rd star.

Visit to the snow factory

Free admission from 10am to 12pm – Snow factory, Clapier piste

Discovery and explanation of the snow-making profession and artificial snow. Access via the Chabrières telemix, valid ski pass required.

Unusual Vintage tour :

11am – Vars les Claux Tourist Office

Explore Vars les Claux on a quirky, retro tour, accompanied by two colorful characters. An adventure full of surprises!

Vintage toboggan ride

4:50pm – Meet at the bottom of the Chabrières Telemix

All aboard for a giant downhill run with a retro twist! Helmets and metal-braked toboggans mandatory, purchase of a tobogganing ACCES mandatory(different from the ski day pass), ski and snow shoes forbidden. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is not recommended for children under 5. Maximum two people per sled.

Chamallow party!

6pm – Front de neige Télémix de Vars les Claux

A warm, gourmet moment around a fire, toasting marshmallows like in the 90s.

Discover our villages of yesteryear

10am – Vars Sainte-Marie Tourist Office

Take a trip back in time on this discovery walk, with all kinds of anecdotes.

Barn visit with Kévin and the association Vars au Fil du Temps

2pm – “Le Rey” bus stop at Vars Sainte-Catherine

Come and visit a Varsinc farmer’s cowshed. A friendly opportunity to talk about the environment, agriculture and the history of our hamlets.

Wall of champions and draisienne race

14h- Vars les Claux snow front

Rediscover the atmosphere of cult TV game shows with the hilarious Wall of Champions event. The little ones will compete in a wild draisienne race.

February puts on a show

6:00 pm – Vars les Claux snow front

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, as part of Février fait son show, Ninetiz will be bringing you an evening of nostalgic 90s hits. The evening will also be marked by a torchlight descent in aid of the ESF and the France Montagnes association with its Les P’tits Flambeaux event, to offer the magic of the mountains to children who don’t have the chance to enjoy them. A light show in an unforgettable retro atmosphere.
