Flower Power

Each week of the February vacation has its own theme. From February 22 to 28, 2025, Vars will be immersed in a flowery atmosphere with its “Flower Power” theme, featuring a wide variety of activities, including creative workshops, sports activities and a chamallow party. On Thursday February 27, Vars will vibrate to the rhythm of a flower power concert.

Ride Snowboard invites you to try out their new 2026 products for free and ride with the team’s athletes!

Haribo Challenge by the Vars Glisse Académie

From 10 a.m. – Piste de Chabrières

250 children aged 6 to 17 in categories U6 to U18 will compete on the Chabrières track, reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h for the fastest. World champion Simon Billy will be on hand to give advice. Race open to all, registration required at noel.ribet.ski@gmail.com. Insurance required. 2 race runs at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Welcome drink

8:45 am – Vars les Claux snow front

To kick off this week’s Flower Power festivities, we invite you to our welcome drink. This is also an opportunity to introduce you to the resort’s activities and events, and to share a moment of conviviality.

Rando ski experience with K2 and BCA: free introduction to ski touring with Mont Epique

9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Meet at the Park DVA, at the bottom of the Heureux piste, next to the Chal’heureux high-altitude restaurant.

Set off on the permanent ski touring itinerary “Le Col des Saluces” with a mountain professional. On the program: equipment loan, DVA initiation, discovery of the discipline over 1.8km for 310m of vertical drop. Conditions: groups of 6 people maximum, minimum ski level Class 3 (parallel skiing and speed control on red runs). Valid ski pass required for access to meeting point. Reservations must be made with Mont Epique by February 22 on 06 19 30 73 75. Once you’ve booked your outing, call La Charpenterie Sport 2000 on 04 92 46 52 10 to reserve your equipment.

Bubble Challenge

5pm – Vars les Claux snow front

Come and compete with friends or family. The principle is simple: transform yourself into a bubble and try to finish the course as quickly as possible.

Créa’telier: colorful dream-catchers and tag workshop to leave your mark

Come and make your own colorful dream-catcher and leave your mark on Vars with a colorful tag. Places are limited, please register with the Tourist Office.

4.30pm – Point Show, next to the Sibières chairlift

Share a moment of surprise with Dorlotte: blind test, quiz, dance and much more await you.

Nocturne on the Ecrins ski lift

5pm – 7pm – Point Show, Ecrins ski lift and piste

Fancy some night skiing? Every Tuesday during the school vacations, the Ecrins ski lift plays host to a nocturne. The International Ski School will also be on hand with its torchlit descent.

Tuesday show: La tribu du vent by the company Les Colporteurs de Rêves

8:40 am – Meet at the Chabrières Telemix

Our passionate ski patrollers invite you to share in the opening of the pistes with them: first tracks, safety, prevention… Places are limited, so bookings must be made at the Tourist Office from Monday February 24. No reservations by phone. Level required: 3rd star. Minimum age: 8, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Valid ski pass required.

Visit to the snow factory

Free admission from 10am to 12pm – Snow factory, Clapier slope

Discovery and explanation of the snow-making profession and artificial snow. Access via the Chabrières telemix, valid ski pass required.

Stretching and Zen moment

10am – Espace animations, Vars les Claux snow front

Relax during this stretching session. Ages 12 and over, registration required at the Tourist Office.

Travelling and unusual flower show

11am – Tourist Office Vars les Claux

A show in the heart of Vars les Claux. Expect nothing!

Before luge

4pm – Vars les Claux Snow front

While you’re waiting for the giant luge descent, join in the fun with us by dancing to a giant blind test and playing our wooden games.

Floral toboggan ride

4.50pm – Meet at the bottom of the Chabrières Telemix

Everyone toboggan in hand for a giant descent! Helmets and metal-braked toboggans mandatory, purchase of a tobogganing ACCES compulsory, ski and snow shoes forbidden. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is not recommended for children under 5. Maximum two people per sled.

Chamallow party!

6pm – Front de neige Télémix de Vars les Claux

Share a tender, gourmet moment around a fire, toasting marshmallows.

Alert, alert, the kiff brigade has been spotted on the Vars les Claux and Point Show snow fronts and on the pistes starting from Chabrières. If you come across them, you’ll be in for a treat.

Come and compete in this draisienne race on skates and snow! Reserved for children under 12.

Barn visit with Bernard

2pm – “Le Rey” bus stop at Vars Sainte Catherine”

Come and discover the farming profession through the story of Bernard, who is opening his cowshed to us today.

6pm – Vars les Claux Front de neige

During this evening, JUSTYN BAND will take you back to the greatest international and French hits with a lively quartet for a festive evening. An ESF torchlight descent followed by a light show will launch this festive evening.
