END-OF-YEAR WELCOME DRINK

Come and celebrate the penultimate morning of 2024 in Vars. We look forward to welcoming you with a complimentary breakfast. This convivial moment will also be an opportunity to introduce you to the resort’s activities and events, share a sweet moment with Dorlotte the groundhog and try your luck at winning a surprise in our prize draw!

DO IT YOURSELF: LAUNDRY WORKSHOP

10am – Espace animations front de neige Télémix – Vars les Claux

Learn how to make your own eco-friendly detergent! A fun and practical workshop. Ages 12 and up – registration required.

ARCHERS’ BATTLE

4pm – Snow front Télémix – Vars les Claux

Come and compete in the archers’ battle, on or off skis. An epic game for young and old! Ages 5 and up.

FIERY NEW YEAR SHOW

End the day in style with a fiery show that will light up the resort!

A sports initiation to get in shape before celebrating the New Year! Sportswear and suitable footwear required – registration required at the Tourist Office. Ages 14 and up.

NEW YEAR FLASH MOB

4pm – Front de neige Télémix de Vars les Claux

Join Dorlotte la marmotte and dance with family and friends to celebrate the end of the year in a festive and friendly atmosphere!

APRES-SKI DJ SET

Fancy ending the year on a festive note? After a great day’s skiing, come and dance and warm up to the set by the talented Maël, from the Darkside collective! Schedule to follow

TORCHLIGHT DESCENT AND FIREWORKS DISPLAY

6:30pm – Vars les Claux snow front

Join us for the Mayor’s New Year’s greetings, followed by the traditional ski instructors’ torchlight descent, a ballet of groomers and a fireworks display to ring in the New Year! And don’t forget to warm up with a hot drink.

Wednesday JANUARY 1

FIRST TRACK

8H40 – Central secours Vars les Claux

Passionate pisteurs invite you to share in the opening of the pistes with them: first tracks, safety, prevention...Places limited, reservation required at the rescue center from Monday December 30 at 2pm. Level required: 3rd star.

VISIT TO THE SNOW FACTORY

Free admission from 10am to 12pm – Snow factory, Clapier piste

Discovery and explanation of the snow-making profession and artificial snow. Access via the Chabrières telemix, valid ski pass required.

NEW YEAR PHOTO RALLY

10am – Vars Sainte-Marie Tourist Office

Take photos of a list of objects and bring them back for a reward.

IGLOO ESCAPE GAME: Where’s Quentin?

12pm to 6pm – Front de neige Télémix de Vars les Claux

Solve riddles in an igloo in an icy atmosphere to find out about Quentin’s mysterious disappearance! We’re counting on you to solve this extreme rescue mystery. Bookings required at the Tourist Office, duration approx. 30 minutes.

NEW YEAR’S SLEDDING: chic for the first day

4.40pm – Meet at the bottom of the Chabrières Telemix.

Everyone’s sled in hand for a giant descent! It’s the first day of the year, and we’re going out in style! Prizes will be awarded for the best outfits. Helmets and sleds with metal brakes compulsory, purchase of a sledding ACCES compulsory, ski and snow shoes forbidden. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

CHAMALLOW PARTY

After the effort, the comfort! Enjoy marshmallows and hot chocolate with family and friends!

Come and challenge your family and friends to a game of sport or precision. Who will go the highest?

STABLE VISIT WITH KEVIN

2pm – “Le Rey” bus stop in Vars Sainte-Catherine

Come and discover the farming profession through the story of Kévin, who is opening his barn to us today.

STAR PARTY WITH LAURIE

8pm – Location to be announced

The sky is full of surprises and stories. With Laurie, come and marvel at the stars during a night-time observation that will transport young and old alike into the world of astronomy. Remember to dress warmly.

FRIDAY JANUARY 3

MUSIC WITH FANFARE EXPRESS

Several concerts throughout the day at the foot of the Sibières and Chabrières lifts

All day long, come and listen to the musicians of this dynamic brass band at the foot of the ski lifts. It’s the perfect way to keep you waiting for your ski day.

EPIPHANY MANUAL ACTIVITY

Come and make your own crown to be the king or queen of the day.
