Freestyle ski competitions

March 1 to 8, 2025

From March 1 to 8, 2025, Vars hosted several freestyle ski competitions including the French Slopestyle and Big air Championships and the National Kids SlopeStyle, as well as a French FIS Cup. It was the perfect opportunity to see a great show in the Vars Park.

One week

freestyle show

Vars was the scene of an intense week of freestyle skiing competitions from March 1 to 8, bringing together almost 100 riders in various categories on the lines of the Vars Snowpark. Slopestyle and Big Air were on the program, with spectacular performances.

Throughout the week, several competitions punctuated the event, including a French Slopestyle and Big Air Championship and a French FIS Cup. Young freestylers expressed their talents at the National Kids Slopestyle on the final day.

Slopestyle and Big Air

Slopestyle and big air are two of the six disciplines of freestyle skiing.
In slopestyle, skiers link figures and tricks on a course made up of various modules such as rails, boxes and jumps. In Big Air, skiers perform acrobatic aerial tricks on a single ski jump, highlighting the height and technicality of their performances.
